Your Covid-19 vaccination certificate can now have your passport number: Here’s how to add – Times of India

As the number of Covid-19 vaccinations rise in the country, more people are getting their hands on digital certificates. As and when international travel restrictions get relaxed, it will become mandatory to show proof whether or not you have been vaccinated.
Earlier this month, the government of India had announced fresh guidelines for Covid-19 vaccination, stating that those travelling abroad for education, jobs, or as part of the Indian contingent for the Tokyo Olympic games, will have to get their vaccination certificates linked to their passport.
Now, the support for linking passport number to a vacation certificate has been added to the Co-Win app. This was announced via Aarogya Setu’s official Twitter account.

Here is how you can add your passport number to your vaccine certificate:
1. Login to cowin.gov.in
2. Login with your credentials
3. Select raise a issue
4. Select the passport option
5. Select the person from the drop down menu
6. Enter passport number
7. Submit
In a subsequent tweet, Aarogya Setu also said that in case there is a discrepancy in the names on passport and vaccine certificate, there will be provision to request for name correction as well.

“Entering passport number and requesting name change can only be done once, so please ensure there are no mistakes in entering the details,” said the tweet.
