YouTube rolls out ‘Live Q&A’ feature for live creators – Times of India

YouTube has come up with a new feature for creators. It has launched a ‘Live Q&A’ feature for content creators where they can interact with viewers while live streaming.
The new feature makes the live streams more interactive, the company said in a blog post.
YouTube ‘Live Q&A’: Here’s how it works
Creators can create and manage Q&A sessions while live streaming with their audience using the Live Control Room (LCR) feature.
This, according to YouTube, will help creators in building a community while responding to several important questions asked by their viewers during the live stream session.

The Live Q&A feature can be accessed alongside Live Polls, which is another option for creators to interact with their audience.
The questions asked using the Live Q&A feature are managed by the same systems that allow the user to moderate the chat. This means the moderators have the liberty to block words, hold for review or report the question if it contains any explicit language.
Users bearing the ‘Manager‘ or ‘Editor‘ channel permissions can manage the questionnaire which has, “viewing the questions list, selecting questions to answers, removing questions from the list”, and others.
On the other hand, ‘Moderators’ are not allowed to manage questions in Live Q&As.
The earlier questions submitted are displayed in chronology, YouTube added.
Although there is no limit to the number of questions, the existing ones on the list will disappear after 200 questions.
