Warner Bros. Discovery Will Set Up an International Development Centre in Hyderabad
Warner Bros. Discovery looks ready to set up an International Development Centre (IDC) in Hyderabad. The global media and entertainment giant is entering the indian tech space by setting up their centre here. It has been announced that the IDC centre by Warner Bros. Discovery will create employment for 1,200 professionals.

IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao met with Alexandra Carter, Senior Vice President of Finance at Warner Bros. Discovery on Wednesday to discuss about the same. Their meeting included the shared vision of both parties to put in more efforts to grow the media and entertainment industry in Hyderabad, and India as a whole. Rama Rao is curretny touring US to attract investments for India.
Warner Bros. Discovery has an excellent variety of brands under its umbrella including HBO, HBO Max (now Max), CNN, Eurosport, Discovery (and Discovery Plus), Animal Planet, Cinemax, Cartoon Network, Pogo, and DC comics among others.
“Collaborating with such industry giants promises groundbreaking ventures that will shape the future of media and entertainment sector in Telangana,” said Rama Rao.
WB is looking to tap into the Indian market and use Hyderabad’s ever-growing tech industry to further solidify their identity in the media and entertainment space.
The IDC in Hyderabad will act as a strategic hub for Warner Bros. Discovery for their operations in the country. While it has been announced that 1,200 professionals will be employed at the start, Warner Bros. Discovery will be looking to expand its workforce in conjunction with business growth in India.
