Airtel 5G Plus service now available in Jammu and Srinagar – Times of India

After rolling out its 5G services in Pune, Airtel has now rolled its 5G Plus service in Jammu and Srinagar.
Airtel is presently offering its 5G Plus services at Raghunath Bazar, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Panjthirthi, Jammu secretariat, Bahu fort, Bahu plaza, Jammu railway station, Govt medical college, Canal Road in Jammu and Lal Chowk, Dal lake, Rajbagh, Kashmir University, Karan Nagar, Channpora, Srinagar secretariat, Nishat Garden, Chashma shahi, Old city in Kashmir and few other select locations. Customers with 5G-enabled smartphones can access the Airtel 5G Plus service in these locations.
Airtel subscribers can access 5G on their existing plans and they don’t have to purchase a new plan. Also there is no need to change the SIM card to access 5G. The existing Airtel 4G SIM is 5G enabled.

“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Jammu and Srinagar. Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the Union territories of J&K and Ladakh which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more,” said Adarsh Verma, COO, Bharti Airtel, Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh.

Airtel has also updated its Thanks app which now allows users to check the 5G compatibility of their smartphone. Users can also check the availability of Airtel 5G Plus in their location with the help of the app. Just make sure that you have a 5G-enabled handset to use the 5G services.
