Batman and Cyborg Were Reportedly Excluded From the Justice League Cameo in the Peacemaker Finale

The season finale of the Peacemaker TV show gave fans the long-awaited re-appearance of DC’s Justice League, which featured adaptations of the iconic comic characters from the DCEU.

The shot featured the likes of Ezra Miller’s The Flash and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, who had an hilarious interaction with John Cena’s Peacemaker. Along with that, Wonder Woman and Superman were also present, however, Gal Gadot’s and Henry Cavill’s iterations of the characters were replaced by body doubles.

Even though, they were body doubles, fans loved that they were able to see the Justice League return. However, in the season finale, the entire squad wasn’t present as it didn’t feature Ben Affleck’s Batman and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg.

Fans were kept in the dark on why James Gunn never added them to the squad. Moreover, the Justice League appearance didn’t address their disappearance at all, as fans theorized where the duo were at the moment.

However, it seems like Gunn had plans to showcase the two as well, after a body double for Ben Affleck’s Batman posted about his shot being cut from the final product.

In an Instagram post, actor Matt Turner stated that him and Cyborg’s parts were removed from the season finale in the caption.

It’s unclear why the executives at DC prevented Batman and Cyborg from showing up in this epic scene. On one hand, fans theorized that Cyborg’s omission might have stemmed from his feud with the top brass at Warner Bros.

However, fans can’t understand the removal of Affleck’s iteration of the character as the actor will reprise the role once more later this year for The Flash movie. Many fans suggested that with Robert Pattinson’s The Batman set to release in a few weeks, Gunn might have had to remove the Dark Knight cameo to prevent confusion among fans.

In the end, while the Justice League cameo in the Peacemaker was cool, it definitely felt a bit empty without Batman and Cyborg. However, fans hope that the entire squad returns soon in a future project.
