Crunchyroll Acquires Black Butler, Goblin Slayer Season 2, and More

Crunchyroll has announced it has acquired an exciting lineup of anime, including The Apothecary Diaries, The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountain, GOBLIN SLAYER Season 2, The Kingdoms of Ruin, I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability, To Be Hero X, Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage, and Black Butler.

The news was announced at the Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Anime Expo 2023, and we were given release windows for when these anime will arrive on the platform, and they are as follows;

• The Apothecary Diaries – Coming Soon 2023
• Goblin Slayer Season 2 – Coming Soon 2023
• The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountain – October 2023
• The Kingdoms of Ruin – October 2023
• Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stange – January 2024
• Bucchigiri?! – January 2024
• I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability – April 2024
• Black Butler – Coming 2024 from Aniplex and Crunchyroll
• To Be Hero X – TBA

Goblin Slayer Season 2 will undoubtedly be a big deal when it is released later this year, as it was a big favorite on Crunchyroll in the US, Australia, Europe, Canada, and Latin America when the first season was released in 2018.

Alongside these announcements, Crunchyroll also revealed a new trailer for A-1 Pictures Solo Leveling, a new trailer for A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special, and even the collaboration between My Hero Academia, TOHO animation, Crunchyroll, the NBA, NBALAB, and Hyperfly that will see the release of a line of streetwear.
