Disney Plus Debuts Trailer for In the Soop: Friendcation Starring BTS V, The Marvel’s Park Seo-joon, Parasite’s Choi Woo-shik & More

Disney+ has released the official trailer for In the Soop: Friendcation, a spinoff of the reality series BTS In the Soop made by Big Hit Entertainment starring the South Korean pop sensation BTS.

The spinoff series stars BTS’ V, also known as Kim Taehyung, with The Marvel’s Park Seo-joon, Soundtrack #1’s Park Hyung-sik, Parasite’s Choi Woo-shik, and rapper Peakboy.

The four-episode miniseries will see the five celebrity friends go on a trip to the South Korean countryside.

MyDramaList describes the show as follows:

“[In the Soop: Friendcation] depicts a travel story of Park Seo-joon, Peakboy, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik, and BTS V, best friends of the entertainment industry who have maintained a friendship for 10 years.

“After a friend’s surprise suggestion, they set out on a friendship trip for 3 nights and 4 days, revealing the candid yet trivial daily life of being disarmed as their true ‘me’ when they are together. Through ‘In the Soop: Friendcation’, a special trip of five friends who have risen to the top of each category, they plan to show their youthful days brighter than on stage.”

The cast has worked with each other before. V appeared in the 2016 Korean period drama Hwarang with Park Seo-joon and Park Hyung-sik. Park Seo-joon and Choi Woo-shik appeared together in the 2017 K-drama Fighting For My Way and the 2019 Oscar-winner film Parasite. All of them appeared in the music video of Peakboy’s 2021 song Gyopo Hairstyle.

In the Soop: Friendcation released on Disney+ Hotstar in select countries including India starting July 22, 2022. The show concluded by releasing its fourth and final episode on August 12, 2022. Now, the series will be available to the rest of the world on Disney+ on October 19, 2022.
