Google Nest Cams to broadcast live video feed on Chromecast with Google TV – Times of India
Google is bringing back an old feature to its new Nest cameras. The company announced the same on the Google Nest Community forum. Starting this week, Google Nest Cam users will be able to watch the video feed from all of your Nest Cams and Nest Doorbells using Chromecast with Google TV.
Which cameras are supported?
According to Google, all Nest Cams and Nest Doorbells, including the newest models that were released in 2021, will be supported. This includes the Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery), Nest Cam (indoor, wired), Nest Cam with floodlight and Nest Doorbell (battery).
How will the feature work?
Chromecast Voice Remote: Users can use the voice remote to say which device they want to stream the live feed from. For example, just say “show me the front door camera” to see your doorbell feed.
Other Google Assistant-enabled devices: You can also use other Google devices. This includes your Nest speaker or display and just say, “Hey Google, show me the front door camera on my TV”
Google Nest cameras are battery-powered security cameras that aim to help users to monitor their home and surroundings. You need Wi-Fi to keep these security cameras running. Last month, Google launched Nest Cams in India in partnership with Tata Play. The company offers a range of plans with the Nest Cam.
