iOS 16 will let you skip CAPTCHA verification in supported apps and websites

How to enable iOS 16 Private Access Token

Apple recently released a video explaining how the feature works, but in a nutshell, Apple’s system validates that the device and Apple ID account bypass CAPTCHAs in supported apps and websites with a Private Access Token. To enable this feature go to Apple ID – Password & Security – Automatic Verification in the Settings menu. When activated, Apple claims that iCloud would automatically and privately authenticate your device and Apple ID account in the background, removing the need for selecting boats and mountain pictures CAPTCHA verification prompts in apps and websites.

A Macrumors report states that Cloudflare and Fastly support Private Access Token, and this new method will provide a better user experience for things like signing in or creating an account, as well as increased user privacy and accessibility.

The video’s description shared by Apple says: ‘Private Access Tokens are a powerful alternative that help you identify HTTP requests from legitimate devices and people without compromising their identity or personal information. We’ll show you how your app and server can take advantage of this tool to add confidence to your online transactions and preserve privacy.’

The feature will be enabled by default in the first beta of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. Apple will also release this feature on macOS Ventura.
