Jio Bharat plans announced, price starts at ₹123

At the moment, there are two Jio Bharat plans offered by Jio. These are priced at ₹123 and ₹1,234. While the former has a validity of 14 days, the latter is an annual plan.

Jio Bharat plan ₹123 will offer unlimited voice calls and 14 GB of total data to the customers, compared to other operator’s ₹179 plan for voice calls and 2GB data. Similarly, Jio Bharat ₹1,234 plan offers 0.5 GB mobile data per day i.e. a total of 128GB for the plan validity. Along with the data, the plan also comes with free voice calling. The company claims that the plan offers 7 times more data than competitors and 25% saving on a per day basis.

Speaking on the occasion, Akash Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio, commented, “There are still 250 million mobile phone users in India who remain ‘trapped’ in the 2G era, unable to tap into basic features of the internet at a time when the world stands at the cusp of a 5G revolution. 6 years ago, when Jio was launched, we made it clear that Jio will leave no stone unturned to democratize internet and pass the benefits of technology to every Indian. Technology will no longer remain a privilege for a select few.”
