Man Utd in advanced talks, Arsenal chase £70m deal, Liverpool scouting trip

The upcoming summer transfer window is now just a matter of weeks away, with several Premier League clubs already thought to be putting the wheels in motion by drawing up their plans of attack for the end-of-season market. The likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are likely to be among the division’s biggest spenders later this year and plenty of rumours have already been swirling with only a few weeks left until the current campaign draws to a close.

United are widely expected to spend heavily in order to strengthen their ranks over the coming months but will also be looking to tie down a number of existing first-team stars, with David de Gea among those who will be out of contract in the summer as things stand. Facundo Pellistri is also in talks over extending his stay at Old Trafford and is reportedly poised to sign on the dotted line at some point between now and the start of next season.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are known to be in the market for at least one new central midfielder and have been linked with several big-name targets over the last few weeks, including the likes of West Ham playmaker Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo of Brighton. However, one player that will be out of reach for the Gunners this summer will be Alexis Mac Allister, who is almost certainly joining Liverpool to replace the outgoing James Milner at Anfield.
