Mircrosoft Introduces Games for Work App for Teams; Xbox Cloud Gaming is Coming to More Samsung TVs

Microsoft is working towards creating new ways to introduce gaming while working. The company recently announced the Games for Work app, which has been developed by Xbox Games Studio, Microsoft Casual Games. Through that, users will easily be able to play games in Microsoft Teams. This includes Microsoft IceBreakers, Wordament, Minesweeper, and Solitaire.

All of these titles will be introduced as interactive and multi-player games that can be played between 2 to 250 players. The games will be completely ad-free and safe for work, verifiably ‘E’ rated. Microsoft believes that the addition of these games will help towards connecting and building trust between teammates, with each title within the app emphasizing a different element of team building.

Here’s what Jill Braff, General Manager of Integrations and Casual Games, Microsoft has said:

“Over 3 billion people around the world play games, serving a crucial role in bringing people together – especially during these last few years. Games promote creativity, collaboration and communication in powerful and unique ways, and we can’t wait to see the how the Games for Work app on Microsoft Teams inspires productivity and helps foster connections in the workplace.”

In other news, Xbox Cloud Gaming is set to arrive on more Samsung TVs with Rumble Support. Expanded support will be available for Xbox App to select Samsung 2021 Smart TVs. The company also plan to invest in making the cloud gaming experience better by adding controller rumble to the Xbox App.
