Pokémon and Tiffany & Co Team Up to Release Jewellery Costing Up to $29,000

The Pokémon Company and Tiffany & Co have teamed up to release a series of Pokémon jewellery, with the most expensive piece costing $29,000.

As reported by VGC, the collection features nine pieces with the cheapest costing $1,290 and the most expensive, naturally a Pikachu, coming with the $29,000 price tag. This pricey one is a Pikachu pendant made of 18-karat yellow gold with diamond accents and comes in two sizes: the standard $29,000 one or a smaller one costing $9,900.

Seven oxidised sterling silver pendants with diamond accents are also available, six featuring individual Pokémon priced at the comparatively cheap $1,290 and the seventh featuring them all together, though a price for this one wasn’t shared.

The pocket monsters featured include Pikachu again, plus Cubone, Charmander, Mew, Jigglypuff, and Squirtle. That’s right, Pokémon Green fans, Bulbasaur has been snubbed.

The entire collection will be available to purchase on the Tiffany & Co website for just 24 hours, starting on November 29 at 6am Pacific / 9am Eastern / 2pm UK and ending at the same time on November 30.

The Pokémon Company is no stranger to collaborations, of course, with official Pokémon skateboards, Katy Perry tracks, Tamagotchis, and even commercial airlines all having been created. It also teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum for what should have been a wholesome collaboration but immediately turned into chaos as scalpers rush the store for exclusive products.

It’s not the first time nerd culture has been turned into luxury gemstone products either. Making this Tiffany & Co collection look cheap as chips, Marvel previously released an Infinity Stones collection worth $25 million.
