Pokemon Horizons Anime Teases True Identity of a Mysterious Character

Pokemon Horizons, the continuation of Pokemon animated series after the departure of Ash Ketchum has been on air for some time. It marks the beginning of a new era for Pokemon fans across the globe with new characters. Liko and Roy, the two protagonists in Pokemon Horizons occasionally watch a streamer known as Nidothing. The show has kept the identity of the streamer a secret so far generating some amount of mystery. However, it looks like the show plans to change things by getting rid of the mystery.

The identity of Nidothing in Pokemon Horizons

Nidothing is a streamer who makes videos for Pokemon trainers that serve as beginners guide. The videos include intriguing stuff like what happens in a Poke Ball and more. So far, Nidothing has kept their identity hidden by wearing a Nidoran-themed costume during the streams.

In Episode 7 of Pokemon Horizons, Liko and Roy unlocked a secret door on the airship ‘Brave Asagi.’ This door also has sort of a ‘dog door’ that Quaxly uses to get in and out of the room. Quaxly talks to a person in the room about Roy’s battle style and urges that the duo should train and gain more experience. The person talks about the mysterious shiny Rayquaza from Roy’s Ancient Poke Ball at the end of the episode.

Then, the framing of the camera shows the interior of the room where the Nidothing costume is laying on the bed. This along with purple hair teases that the person in the room is indeed Nidothing. The revelation also means that it is not an existing character but a new character. It looks like the streamer is more important than just the shows’ way to explain the Pokemon lore to newer audiences.
