PV Sindhu slips three places to world number 15 in latest BWF rankings | Badminton News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu experienced a setback as she slipped three places to the 15th position in the latest women’s singles BWF World rankings released on Tuesday.
Double Olympic medallist Sindhu currently has 51,070 points from 13 tournaments.
Earlier this year, she had already fallen out of the top 10, and her performance this season has been below par since her return from a five-month injury break due to a stress fracture in her ankle, which occurred while winning the Commonwealth Games gold in August last year.
Sindhu’s notable achievements this season include reaching the final of the Madrid Spain Masters Super 300 and the semi-finals of the Malaysia Masters Super 500. However, she faced early exits in several other events at the beginning of the year.
