The Most Important Factors to Consider when Planning Your Workplace Christmas Party
Now that the pandemic is (almost) a thing of the past and everyone’s happy to be working face-to-face once again, it would be a good thing to celebrate events in style. As you very well know, most of us haven’t been able to celebrate a Christmas party at work for the last two years, and it is high time we enjoy it! If you want the perfect workplace Christmas party, some things are more important than most. For instance, your employees may love to dance the night away, so why not hire a DJ and set up a dance floor? Or better yet, why not have a karaoke night? In addition, you should get feedback from everyone so you will have a better idea of what the general populace wants. But what else do you have to consider? Of course, you don’t want to forget or neglect anything, so here are the most important factors to consider when planning your workplace Christmas party.
- Get it together
Of course, the first thing you have to do is make a list of all the attendees. Knowing how many people to expect will help you plan accordingly. Also, is it a good idea to make it a plus one, or are you thinking of an all-out family affair where everyone can enjoy some rides and game stalls from a fairground stall hire provider? As soon as you know how many guests to expect, it will be easier to plan the event around this number.
- Establish a budget
Now that you have a fair idea of who’s coming, you must set a budget. Of course, it would be perfect if you had an unlimited budget, but since you have to be realistic, you must establish a budget. Also, determine what’s best for the event – what would you rather spend money on? For instance, would you rather spend on entertainment instead of decorations? Set priorities and think of what your audience would appreciate the most. But remember to keep track of everything so you can budget accordingly.
- Determine the menu
The menu is another big consideration, so think about it as carefully as possible. And don’t forget the number one rule – the food and drinks must never run out! It’s important to taste the menu first; the earlier the planning, the better. But you have to ensure that there’s something for everyone – especially if you are having kids. Many food choices will be ideal, and food stations are great because they offer variety. And when you think of the food, the drinks are not far behind, either. If you’re serving alcoholic drinks, stick with variety – think champagne, wine, or beer. But you can also create a special cocktail drink following the theme of the event, and it would be great if you could even set a bar aside so everyone can mix up their own concoctions.
- Establish a theme
If you want to make it easier to plan everything, the best thing that you can do is establish a theme. When you have a great theme, it can contribute to the entire ambience of your party. You can then decorate according to your theme and set up your centrepieces, photo booth, backdrops, props, and more with your theme in mind.
